It seems that I am always reaching out to try something different – and MFC Hospitality is no different. It’s not the first time, but I guess I’m a little braver as I get older.
Last week I researched some hospitality task force companies, and reached out to Hospitalilty Taskforce, Inc. mostly because they talk about task force positions in the US and Hawaii – and one of the principals is a “Local Boy” with Hawaii visitor industry background – like me!
I reached out to him, got a favorable response, so this morning I submitted my application and resume for consideration as an independent contractor. WoW! Awaiting a response to that now.
I have to admit this made me laugh … pretty much! But I have been in this industry for 50+ years, retired a couple of times – and come back because I miss it and I get bored easily! Many of us old school hoteliers will tell you the same thing.
What TASK FORCING allows us to do is to take our cumultive knowledge and drop into a temporary position where the DOS is absent due to medical leave, or other voluntary or involuntary departure from the hotel, to fill a gap while the Hotel takes a little time to find the best possible candidate to fill this significant piece of the upper management puzzle.
